In addition to Freeview TV channels, you could distribute other paid TV channels as well. Of course, to do this, you will need to have an agreement with the paid TV service provider, select the correct package for your business and to get the decoder(s) and smartcard(s).
Using a HDMI to DVB-T modulator with HDCP capability, the TV channel received from the decoder via HDMI could be distributed as DVB-T in your local coaxial cable. If the paid TV service provider provides the service using one of the following coding systems presented below, then the service could be received using a transmodulator equipped with CI ports and a CAM CI module. The coding systems accepted by CAM CI are:
- Irdeto
- CryptoWorks
- Conax
- Betacrypt
- Viaccess
- Seca
- KeyFly
The schematic diagram below presents the modulation process for one signal received via HDMI. The HDMI to DVB-T modulator used in this configuration is Signal-420.
